The Confident Woman – Day Two
The “I AM” Says I Am
Clothed in Salvation and Righteousness
“I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”
I must confess I’m crazy about clothes. How about you? I enjoy the blend of vibrant colors, the luxuriant feel of quality fabrics, the joy of styles that flatter my shape, and the fragrance freshness of clean garments.
It may be hard to imagine, but our Heavenly Father, the creator of all, cares about every detail of our lives, even our clothing. I love knowing that my wardrobe selection is important to Him. Yet the garments spoken of in this Scripture surpass any a store could offer. In fact, it isn’t about actual clothing. It is an analogy to help believers picture themselves covered in God’s power. This knowledge can be life-changing, dear ones, if we receive it.
When you feel yourself slipping into a spirit of fear, timidity, or self-condemnation, your creator, the great “I AM,” says, “You are not to wear that!” He says, “I have provided garments of strength, salvation, and righteousness for you. Wear them.”
This knowledge should give us great confidence as we enter the world or the workforce. Size does not matter. It’s the designer that counts. His clothing is for His followers only. Aren’t you glad you are a daughter of the King of King? Enjoy your wardrobe.
Thank you for your provision of a wardrobe of Godly confidence. Help me in my pursuit of donning the garments befitting a confident woman and being the best dressed lady in town. Amen
